Chapter Awards

Emerging Professional Awards

Award is to recognize students, interns and Part-Time or Full-Time employed in an AEC firm or construction industry related employer for a thesis, presentation, or school project. 
Applicant does not have to be a member of CSI nor the Metro NY Chapter. Nomination can come from MNY Chapter Member or the MNY Awards Committee.

  • Up to 4 Recipients per year
  • Deadline for submission: May 1, 2026
  • Award Committee Decision Deadline: May 20, 2026
  • The award will be presented during the Member Appreciation Event. 

Technical Achievement Awards

This award is to highlight the accomplishments and hard work of the Metro New York Chapter Members in their professional endeavors and careers.  Nomination can come from MNY Chapter Member or the MNY Awards Committee. Can be awarded through three possible categories: 

  1. Construction 
    Built – Projects which have been completed and built by the award registration date.  
    Unbuilt – Projects which are scheduled for completion of design and/or construction after registration date.
  2. Business Development 
    Leadership in business growth and overall commitment to the AEC industry.
  3. Research 
    Technical papers, articles for publication, presentations, etc. which promote the continued growth of construction knowledge.

  • Award Committee Decision Deadline: May 20, 2026
  • The award will be presented during the Member Appreciation Event. 

Sponsor of the Year Award

Awarded to the individuals, groups, or organizations who has provided continuous financial support throughout the year for the Metro NY Chapter. There is no set financial obligation for this award.

  • Award Committee Decision Deadline: May 20, 2026
  • The award will be presented during the Member Appreciation Event. 

President's Service Awards

The President Service Award recognizes outstanding service to the Metro New York Chapter of CSI. One for a Board Member who has shown exceptional service, leadership, and advanced the chapter. Must be a Metro NY Chapter Member for over 5 years and served on the Board for a minimum of 2 years. The second is for a Chapter Member who has shown dedication to the chapter through participation and initiative.

  • President to submit to Award Committee: May 1, 2026
  • The award will be presented during the Member Appreciation Event.
