Finance Committee
Purpose:
This Committee advises the Board of Directors on fiscal policy and on investments of the Chapter’s assets and ensures the proper handling and reporting of the fiscal transactions of the Treasurer.
Chair Responsibilities:
- Keeping accurate financial records of Chapter income, investments, and expenditures.
- Keep board informed of Chapter Financial status.
- Must be familiar with Chapter finances.
- Report all findings to membership at regular meetings.

Audit Committee
Purpose:
This Committee oversee the organization's financial reporting and transactions of the Treasurer at the close of the fiscal year.
Chair Responsibilities:
- Review all book and transactions at end of the fiscal year.
- Work independently from Chapter Treasurer to prepare report on Chapter finances for Board review.

Awards Committee
Purpose:
This Committee reviews the achievements of the members and associated organizations and prepares awards and award nominations accordingly. Chapter awards are given each year at the Awards Dinner.
Chair Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with all of the possible Honors and Awards categories of the Institute.
- With their committee, actively seeks out worthy candidates for awards.
- Assures that awards applications are completed properly and submitted by or before the deadline date.

Nominating Committee
Purpose:
This Committee recruits and proposes leaders to the Board of Directors for inclusion on the annual ballot for election of officers and directors.
Chair Responsibilities:
- As per chapter by-laws, the committee must present (5) members in good standing, (2) of which are not on the board currently by the November Chapter meeting. The committee shall then elect one of the members to be the Chair.
- The committee shall prepare a list on nominees by no later than the April board meeting.
- This list should then be presented to the President and Secretary to distribute ballots.

By-Laws Committee
Purpose:
This Committee provides guidance to the Board of Directors regarding matters involving the Institute and Chapter By-Laws.
Chair Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with the Institute and Chapter By-Laws, the Certificate of Incorporation, and the Institute Policy. In addition, the chairman should seek the advice of the Institute Director to be certain that all amendments to the Chapter By-Laws comply with the objectives of the Institute.
- Ensure that the minimum requirements set forth in the Institute’s Model Chapter By-Laws are included in the Chapter By-Laws.
- Prepare amendments to the Chapter By-Laws, as directed by chapter board, in keeping with amendments to the Institute By-Laws.
- Submit all proposed amendments to the Chapter Board for approval prior to submission to the Institute secretary. (Chapter amendments are not official until approved by the Institute secretary).
- Prepare resolutions for Chapter and Institute action.

Membership Committee
Purpose:

This Committee works to enlist new members and works at retain existing members. At the beginning of each year the Membership Committee should meet to discuss current membership status and make recommendations for Chapter growth at the annual summer planning retreat.
This committee works with the Programs/House Committee to produce special programs to appeal to particular segments of the Design + Construction Industry + Allied Professionals.
Chair Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all membership recruitment, retention, and renewal programs.
- Sending a letter of welcome to new Chapter members and inquiring about their interests.
- Develops programs to welcome and engage new members.
- Develops and implements a chapter/region membership recruitment plan.
- Seeks to involve as many members as possible in chapter/region activities.
- Identifies and encourages future leadership.

Fund Raising Committee
Sub-Committees: Golf, Scholarship, and Sponsorship
Purpose:
Golf Sub-Committee organizes and administers the annual golf outing which is a fundraiser for the Francis L. Frybergh Scholarship as well as solicits donations from individuals and companies in support of this scholarship.
Scholarship Sub-Committee administers the application process for the annual Frybergh Scholarship and holds several events at Academic Institutions for greater interaction between Academic Institution and professionals in the Construction Industry.
Sponsorship Sub-Committee maintains the current relationship of Sponsors
Chair Responsibilities:
- Responsible for promoting the Golf Outing working with Communication Chair.
- Responsible for developing sponsorship levels for individuals and companies.
- Make arrangements for the Golf Outing venue including receiving and processing reservations and payments.
- Develops scholarship application forms and criteria.
- Proves the status of selection process and the names of eventual awardees.
- Works with Finance Committee to distribute scholarship monies.

Programs/House Committee
Purpose:
This Committee is responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of Chapter programs and activities for the monthly meetings.
This Committee works with the Membership Committee to recruit new members and retain existing members. As well, this committee works to produce special programs that appeal to particular segments of the Design + Construction Industry + Allied Professional and our membership
Chair Responsibilities
- Planning and development of interesting and entertaining special programs.
- Schedules venue, dates, locations, menus, etcetera for chapter meetings.
- Search out and invite guest speakers/presenters for educational programs.
- Welcome newcomers to Chapter events.
- Outline chapter meeting programs for the year and keep Chapter Board members informed of Program schedule.
- Manage member badge scanner, and receiving and processing reservations and payments.
- Coordinates with Outreach Committee on Chapter announcements and promotion of upcoming programs.
- Coordinate with our House Committee to engage appropriate venues for our Chapter meetings that support the proposed program calendar.
- Work with our Chapter CEU Registrar to ensure educational programs are filed with the AIA to obtain CEU’s for our attendees.
- At the beginning of each year this committee is response for the planning and execution of the annual summer planning retreat.

Professional Development Committee
Purpose:
This Committee helps the CSI organization fulfill its mission of educating project teams. Assists with certification exam prep classes to help construction industry professionals prepare for the CDT, CCS, CCCA and CCPR exams which occur in both the spring and the fall. The exam prep classes are led by members of CSI who are experienced, industry professionals. Please contact us if you’re a construction industry professional or professional organization seeking certification for the members of your team, or if your firm is interested in hosting a class.

Chair Responsibilities:
- Acts as liaison between student affiliate groups and institutions of higher learning, and coordinates activities with the chapter/region.
- Encourages university and technical institute administrators to offer courses in construction documentation as part of their curriculum.
- Makes and maintains contacts at local academic institutions who have engineering, architectural, or other construction related programs.
- Responsible for developing student membership, and student affiliates at local schools.
- Coordinates educational programs for certification study and exam preparation.
- Verifies that study course participants are registered properly for exams

Outreach Committee
Sub-Committees: Communication, Newsletter, Social Media and Website, Charitable Activites
Purpose:
This Committee promotes activities in CSI and it’s members within the Chapter and in the New York City metro area Design + Construction Industry + Allied Professionals through newsletter, meeting announcements, and social media.
This Committee creates The Platform Newsletter monthly to keep our membership informed and helps to coordinate the distribution of the newsletter.

- Prepares, produces, and distributes all chapter communications.
- Promotes chapter initiatives, events and meetings.
- Maintains Chapter Website and social media pages
